280 m² Apartment Renovation – Luxury Interior Design with Large Kitchen Island, Living Room with Fireplace and Private Master Suite
Complete renovation of a spacious 280 m² apartment. Originally the property required a total rebuild – the tiny kitchen made cooking for guests impossible, and the lack of a clear division between day and night zones made the space inconvenient for both residents and visitors.
New, functional day zone
We relocated the main entrance and transformed the former kitchen area into a spacious, representative entrance hall. The new, significantly enlarged kitchen with a large natural marble island was placed right next to the dining area. A dining table on a distinctive black base is surrounded by beige chairs and illuminated by a sculptural white pendant lamp with organic shapes. Open wooden shelving and tall cabinets create a coherent, warm built-in composition.
We divided the living room into two zones: a TV area and a relaxation area by the fireplace. The fireplace with black glass and a marble base acts as a natural boundary between the kitchen and the living room. Large light-coloured corner sofas, sculptural armchairs, a marble coffee table and a tall arched floor lamp create an elegant, calm atmosphere. The walls are finished with three-dimensional abstract stucco in shades of beige and cream. Numerous windows with blinds and light curtains allow natural light to enter from every side of the apartment.
Privacy and comfort in the night zone
Access to the bedrooms, bathrooms and toilet was arranged from a long corridor, giving residents a full sense of privacy. A guest toilet was located close to the kitchen. Behind the kitchen a pantry was created, and in the corridor – a laundry room with a separate sink and shelving.
In the master bedroom we designed two spacious walk-in wardrobes behind sliding, tinted glass doors with lighting, plus a private en-suite bathroom. A bed with a soft upholstered headboard, warm lighting and a soft carpet create a hotel-spa atmosphere. The master bathroom impresses with light marble featuring gold veining, double freestanding washbasins, gold fittings and large mirrored cabinets.
Premium details and materials
Throughout the apartment the highest-quality natural materials dominate: wood, natural stone (marble and darker varieties), soft fabrics and precisely selected lighting. The dark guest toilet with fluted black walls and a monolithic dark-stone washbasin provides a strong, luxurious contrast. In the children’s/guest bedroom a bolder note appears – an abstract black-and-white mural wall, oval mirrors and warm terracotta accents.
The entrance hall with a built-in bench, a large painting and wooden cabinetry, together with intimate studies featuring armchairs and media units, complete the coherent, refined whole.
Why this project stands out
This apartment is an excellent example of how important thoughtful functional planning is. Thanks to bold changes in circulation, a clear division of zones and the consistent use of premium materials, the space gained enormous class, became comfortable for everyday living and representative for guests. The warm, light colour palette and light entering from many directions emphasise the luxurious yet cosy character of the interior.
Collaboration with a mature investor who fully trusted the design decisions made it possible to deliver a coherent, high-quality arrangement in which every detail – from the fittings to the lighting – performs at the highest level.
