Luxury interior design of a two-level apartment in Port Praski, Warsaw – an interior project featuring natural stone, steel and subtle lighting
The interior design project for a two-storey apartment in the prestigious Port Praski development in Warsaw is an example of luxury design that combines functionality with the highest aesthetics. From the outset the apartment posed a major design challenge – it was already two-level, with the possibility of entering and exiting the staircase on each floor, and the slab between the floors contained a ready-made opening for a double-flight staircase.
In cooperation with a structural engineer we prepared a new design for the opening and the stairs. We moved the staircase along the wall, which gave the living room a regular rectangular shape instead of an L-shape. This solution also provided a better view of the terrace from the upper floor.
Functional layout
• Upper floor – day zone: kitchen, dining area and living room with a view of the terrace, plus a guest toilet. The open space supports everyday living and entertaining.
• Lower floor – private zone: three bedrooms (one with a private dressing room and en-suite bathroom; the other two – rooms for two teenagers – with a bathroom accessible from the corridor), a recreational room serving as a small gym, and a guest room for overnight stays.
Character of the arrangement – luxury in the detail
The entire interior was designed in the spirit of elegant, timeless luxury. The dominant material is natural stone (richly veined marble and sintered quartz), which appears on walls, countertops, kitchen islands and bathroom cabinetry. Its nobility is balanced by elements of steel, glass and subtle, jewellery-like lighting – both linear and decorative.
Most of the furniture and details were custom-made, which allowed them to be perfectly adapted to the unusual geometry of the apartment and to achieve a coherent, high-end effect.
Key elements visible in the project
• Luxurious bathrooms with large stone slabs, illuminated countertops, copper or bronze wall-mounted taps and minimalist cabinets.
• Living room with a soft light-coloured sofa, leather armchair, round coffee tables and a media unit.
• Kitchen with a massive natural-stone island, tall cabinets and bar stools.
• Dining area with a designer chandelier and sculptural accents on an open bookcase.

The Port Praski Warsaw interior design project is an example of how difficult technical conditions can be turned into an asset – resulting in a spacious, bright and elegant apartment of exceptional character.
